Who we are
Sandy Seed Farm is a regenerative, small market farm located in Montrose, Colorado. We utilize plots of land for food production that would have become (or remained) landscaped. We’re currently growing at two locations in Montrose, about half an acre of growing area. By using organic growing methods and minimal tillage, we transform unproductive spaces into community food assets. Our produce is grown in a way that enhances biodiversity and increases soil health, while providing a beautiful space in the community.
A little backstory
The farm first took root in the sandy soils of Moab, Utah in Spring 2021. And thus, the Name “Sandy” Seed Farm was born! The following year, Sandy Seed Farm moved to Montrose, CO. Dylan Fadgen is the farm owner and head grower. From the red rock desert to the Uncompahgre Valley, it all starts with a humble little seed that produces a veritable vegetable bounty.
